Starting off from the official narrative of Rijeka as an open multi-ethnic port, a historic porto franco and a contemporary post-industrial city, which is today boastfully embracing its title of the European Capital of Culture 2020, this publication investigates the ambivalent states of the city's current in-between identity.
In a collective attempt to unearth the infraordinary and the extraordinary strata of Rijeka, this publication results in forms and formats of counter-cartography, docu-fictional interviews and critical texts on creative economy and culture industry.
